Is AUCE better than private colleges like SRM or GITAM?
For most students, yes. AUCE charges ₹35,000/year vs ₹2–3.5 lakhs/year at private deemed universities. Placement packages are comparable in many branches. Unless you need a specialised program (like AI/ML) that AUCE doesn't offer or your rank doesn't qualify for AUCE, it is almost always the better financial choice.
What is the minimum EAMCET rank to get into a good private college for CSE?
For well-known private colleges with NAAC A grade (KL University, GITAM, SVEC), CSE OC cutoff ranks typically fall between 5,000–15,000. Colleges with cutoffs above 30,000 for CSE may have lower placement rates — research carefully before choosing.
Does NAAC grade actually matter for placements?
NAAC grade correlates with placement quality but is not a direct guarantee. A college can have NAAC A and still have poor placements if it's in a remote location or has weak industry connections. Use NAAC as a minimum quality filter, but also check actual placement data — specifically the percentage of students placed (not just the highest package).
Can I get into RGUKT with EAMCET? Or is it only through Polycet?
RGUKT (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies) primarily admits students through POLYCET (for lateral entry after 10th) into their 6-year integrated program. However, students who have completed Intermediate (12th) can apply for B.Tech lateral entry into the 3rd year via ECET. EAMCET ranks are used for RGUKT lateral entry, not first-year admission.
